Church

We took Annabelle to church for the first time today! We tried once when Gramma M was here, but were so late we decided to just watch Solid Rock online. The day after, we went to the Pediatrician and they warned us against taking her into crowded areas since she's so little, and it's flu season. We decided it was sort of a God thing that we didn't make it that day. Since then, that's what we've been doing; watching online. We really enjoy John Mark's messages. But I've missed going to church. And I think it's important to raise our daughter in a church community. The only problem is we haven't really gotten involved in a church community. We've gone to several here, and just haven't really felt anything. I guess we just kind of gave up. Today we just decided to go to Alice Drive Baptist church, where we first went when we got here, and have visited on and off since then. It's a nice church, with great people, but the worship is awful, and I don't mean the sound, because I actually like the music, but it's not real worship...it's just "song time", and the messages are SO typical. It's hard to even listen to something I've heard a billion times. The pastor is alright, he seems nice, but it's just the typical evangelism, salvation story, tithe or do good to others type messages, and he really doesn't add anything new or exciting, so it's really hard to get anything out of it. I actually felt like it was hard to pay attention today. *sigh* But at least we went; I'm glad we did.
Here's are little princess all dressed up:
